Modric won the FIFA The Best 2018 prize

This morning, FIFA’s Best 2018 awards ceremony took place in London. This time, the honoree in the Best Male Player Luka Modric – the conductor took Croatia to the runner-up of the 2018
World Cup and the pillar of the Real Madrid team won the Champions League championship 2017/18.

It can be said, world football has just witnessed a big event in the awarding ceremony of The Best 2018 this morning. It was the first time in 11 years, the glory of a noble individual award, including European Golden Ball, FIFA Golden Ball, FIFA Best Player and of course The Best, podium glory does not include both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As you know, Messi did not even make the list of 3 shortened candidates for this year’s FIFA The Best title. Notably, he did not appear in the awards gala night. Meanwhile, Ronaldo, despite being in three shortened candidates, did not attend London for the event. Thus, this is also the first time in 11 years, the football world without both Ronaldo and Messi on the red carpet of a noble individual title election.

Of course it is worth mentioning, this is the first time in 11 years, the winner of individual awards, including European Golden Ball, FIFA Golden Ball, FIFA Best Player and The Best, does not belong Messi or Ronaldo.

People who break the polarity seem to survive until these two superstars retire, Luka Modric. Certainly not many people thought that Croatian stars could do this magic. However, with what has been done in the past year, it deserves to be honored at the highest podium in London this morning.

Modric’s personal achievements are not too prominent, or precisely cannot be counted by playing in the central midfield position. However, it can be said that he is the only star to be successful in 2018. Modric played dazzlingly when he won the Champions League in 2010/18 with Real.

After that, he created a miracle when pulling Croatia first in history to enter the 2018 World Cup final. This is the key to help him make a difference before Messi and Ronaldo – the super Why did he disappoint and soon brought his suitcase back to the country at the football festival in Russia last summer.

Football is a collective sport and Modric is the best individual representing the collective strength of soccer players in 2018. He really deserves the title of Best this year!
