MU missed Haaland because Ed Woodward intervened

Haaland approached to join the Old Trafford team, but the intervention of Vice President Ed Woodward caused the deal to collapse.
According to ESPN, coach Ole Solskjaer is said to have reached an agreement with individual striker Erling Haaland in December 2019 that the striker will join Old Trafford in January 2020 for only £ 20 million from RB Salzburg.

Solskjaer is the former teacher of Haaland at the Molde club. It is the Norwegian military leader who teaches the striker born in 2000 how to be a sharper finish in the early days of his career.

When the transfer was going well, Vice President Ed Woodward suddenly jumped in and canceled the deal due to disagreeing with the agent fees and the contract breaking clause.

The deal then collapsed. Haaland joined Dortmund for exactly £ 20 million with a contract break clause worth 75 million pounds and only take effect after 2022. Striker born in 2000 scored 21 goals in 23 games for the home team Signal Iduna Park from that far.

The source of ESPN also said coach Solskjaer was almost desperate when he could not bring Haaland and Sancho to Old Trafford because of the delay of the transfer steering team. MU blockbuster contract in the summer 2020 transfer window, Donny van de Beek, is not the priority of the Norwegian military in increasing the power of the “Red Devils”.

MU has a bad start this season. “Red Devils” only won 1 match after the first 3 rounds and currently ranked 16th on the Premier League table. In the nearest round, MU was crushed 6-1 by Tottenham at Old Trafford’s home field.

After this defeat, MU immediately recruited Alex Telles from Porto and brought Edinson Cavani to Old Trafford in the form of a free transfer to strengthen the force. MU will meet Newcastle at 2:00 on October 18 in the 5th round of the Premier League.
